In 1978 only Alan Cumberland of the LPO could play the virtuoso solo part to my Timpani Concerto. In the years since its conception an increasing number of players have wrestled successfully with
the challenges and I am so pleased that 'Brasswind Publications' have decided to publish the work and make it more widely available.
